Dano Johnson and Seth Caplan, filmmakers of the hit movie "Flatland: the Movie", will visit Baylor University on April 18 as part of National Mathematics Awareness Month. Professor Edward B. Burger, visiting Vice Provost for Strategic Educational Initiatives and the 2010 Robert Foster Cherry Award winner for Great Teaching at Baylor, will introduce Dano and Seth at 6 pm in the Kayser Auditorium of the Hankamer School of Business. A showing of "Flatland: The Movie" will immediately follow.

After the movie presentation, Dano and Seth will then discuss and show clips from their newest movie, "Sphereland", the much anticipated sequel to Flatland, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2012.

Star Trek Captain Kate Mulgrew and Community's Danny Pudi have joined the cast of "FLALAND 2: Sphereland".

Kate Mulgrew is best known as "Captain Janeway" from Star Trek Voyager. She will voice the role of the Over-Sphere, an ever-curious, four-dimensional explorer who imparts wisdom to other characters through riddles and questions.

"Casting Mrs. Mulgrew as the Over-Sphere is a dream come true. Her strength and talent perfectly compliments the character's role in the film." commented Writer/Director Dano Johnson.

Danny Pudi plays the role of Puncto, an excitable and humorous astronomer. As Abed Nadir on NBC's Community, Danny has developed a strong and passionate following. He was attracted to the project because of its educational mission. more...

Renowned actor set to return as wise sphere in sequel

Actor Michael York has agreed to reprise his role of "Spherius" in the next chapter of the Flatland saga, "Flatland 2: SPHERELAND."

Born in England, York trained with Laurence Olivier's National Theatre Company and began his film debut in The Taming of the Shrew.
